Samsung Galaxy J3 biker-focused budget phone out now

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is expected to be the second generation of Samsung's largest model designed as a mid-range smartphone. Equipped with a setting called Safe Bike Mode, the mid-range device will retail at ₹8990.

Samsung India Electronics has launched the Galaxy J3 smartphone which features an innovative S bike mode. Both the features are touted to be "Made in India" by Samsung's Indian R&D Institute.

As far as its hardware specifications are concerned, the Galaxy J3 comes with a 5-inch HD Super Amoled display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It shall also have a 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front snapper. It also has a microSD card slot for expanding the built-in storage by up to 128GB. However, if the calls are urgent, the caller can press 1 and the phone would ring. However, the user will need to pull over and ensure that the two-wheeler comes to a stop else the motion lock feature won't allow the incoming call to be answered.

The 2016 Samsung Galaxy J3, first launched in China previous year, has now been introduced in India.

Samsung Galaxy J3 S bike mode has a dashboard of time and distance travelled using the S bike mode. There's not long to wait, as the phone will be on sale from today as an exclusive for Snapdeal. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J3 has a 2600 mAh battery. The Galaxy J7 (2016) has a dimension of 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm and weighs 170 grams. Trusted Reviews, awarding the device a full 10/10 score, wrote that the phone "raised the bar for every other Android device", while TechRadar also awarded it top marks, calling the device "iterative perfection". Connectivity options include is 2G/ 3G, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, GPS, Micro-USB and GLONASS.

It's also believed that the Galaxy S7 will be able to support Android Marshmallow as well as the latest version of Samsung's TouchWiz UI.
