Lenovo to Launch Moto C & new Moto X Smartphones in 2017

Recently Lenovo has launched the all new Moto M smartphone in China. It is the second smartphone next to the Moto E3 Power to come with MediaTek processor. With this device, the company has started injecting bloatware apps into Moto devices which are known for offering stock Android experience with zero bloatware apps. Even the recent rumors suggest Lenovo to integrated its brand into Moto making it the face of Lenovo brand in the smartphone business. Last year Lenovo also introduced the online exclusive ZUK brand in China to compete against the other online exclusive brands including Xiaomi and OnePlus.

ZUK was introduced as the Lenovo ZUK in India, and the company has already launched two smartphones ZUK Z1 and ZUK Z2 Plus. Though the ZUK series is expected to be continued, the future of the Vibe and K series is not yet known. We can confirm all these only when there is an official statement from the company. Today, we got some interesting information about the upcoming Moto smartphones in 2017. The leaked roadmap revealed a bunch of smartphones that will be launched in 2017. The Moto Z and Moto M along with affordable smartphone series like Moto G and Moto E will meet their successors in 2017. Somehow, the company is bringing back the Moto X devices in 2017 after a year break.

In the coming new year, we will also see the all new Moto C series. From wild predictions, the Lenovo CPlus concept smartphone that was showcased at the Lenovo Tech World in June this year might be coming under Moto C series. It is a bendable device that wraps around the wrist and sports flexible display. Samsung is also said to be working on a bendable/flexible smartphone and might be launched in 2017 itself. Out of all Moto devices launching 2017, manufacturing of only Moto Z 2017 smartphones will be completely handled by the Motorola Mobility, while both Motorola Mobility and Lenovo teams will jointly work on Moto G 2017 devices.

Rest of the devices, including the newly launched Moto M and the upcoming Moto C, will be handled by the Lenovo team. Though all the upcoming Lenovo devices will be launched under  Moto brand, they can't give the same feel as the Moto devices that are launched till date. After purchasing the Motorola brand from Google, Lenovo ended up with lots of smartphones coming from its in-house brands like Lenovo, Motorola, and ZUK. A year old, ZUK has launched only three smartphones till date, since the Z2 Plus is the same ZUK Z2 that was launched in China. On the other hand, many of the Lenovo and Motorola smartphone are competing against each other.

As per the rumors, Lenovo will be launching only the Moto and ZUK smartphones in 2017. We will be updating the article once there is any confirmation from the Lenovo. While Motorola skipped launching the Moto 360 smartwatch in 2016, few rumors suggest the company to lend out its brand name for third party manufacturer. There isn't much penetration of smartwatches in the market while the initial estimations are much higher than the current numbers.
