Alcatel Flash is the latest smartphone from the TCL-owned brand to be officially unveiled in China. The main highlight of this smartphone is the presence of dual camera setups on either sides. Yes, you read it right. The Alcatel Flash comes with not one, but a total of four camera sensors.
Up front, the Alcatel Flash comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display protected by Dragontrail Glass. The latest smartphone from the Chinese OEM sports a unibody design with a brushed metal design to the rear. The rear aspect of the Alcatel Flash gently towards the edges, thereby giving the smartphone a really good in-hand feel.
Powering, the smartphone is a Mediatek Helio X20 deca-core processor with a peak clock speed at 2GHz. The powerful SoC is mated with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Alcatel has also been generous enough to provide a microSD expansion slot in its mid-range smartphone.
With that said, the USP of the Alcatel Flash lies in its camera sensors. The rear of the smartphone comes with a pair of 13MP sensors. One of these sensors shoots in monochrome and other in RGB. The dual 13MP rear cameras are backed by a Sony IMX258 sensor having a 1/3.06 sensor size, 1.12μm pixel size and dual LED flash. The dual camera treatment can be seen on the front of the Alcatel Flash too. It features 8MP and 5MP dual front-facing selfie snapper with dual tone LEDH flash. It's worth highlighting that even these front camera has a very large f/2.0 aperture. As you can pretty well presume by now, the Alcatel Flash is one heck of the camera phones. At least, that what it appears from the spec sheet. The capability of the Alcatel Flash is further bolstered by the support for RAW images.
Underneath the metal unibody housing, the Alcatel Flash packs a 3,100mAh battery. This battery comes with support for fast charging technology. It also has a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the smartphone. Apart from these, the Alcatel Flash comes with a USB Type-C port and has support for 4G VoLTE.
Alcatel hasn't revealed the pricing or the availability of the smartphone yet. As from the press images, we can assume that the Alcatel Flash runs on a near stock version of Android with a handful of Alcatel's proprietary apps. The smartphone comes only in a black coloured variant.
