Huawei Launches Enjoy 7 Plus Smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat & 4,000mAh Battery

Last month, the third largest global smartphone brand, Huawei launched the Huawei P10 Lite and Y5 2017 mid-range smartphones. Now, the company came with a new mid-range device called Honor Enjoy 7 Plus. It is the successor the Enjoy 6S smartphone launched in the second half of 2016. Recently, Huawei's sub-brand, Honor launched the Huawei Enjoy 6S as Honor 6C in Europe alongside the flagship Honor 8 Pro. Talking about the Enjoy 7 Plus, it sports an all-metal body with rounded edges. As seen with most of the recently launched Huawei smartphones, the new Enjoy 7 Plus also runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.1 out of the box.

It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and a 2.5D curved glass laid on top. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 435 MSM8940 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. There is also 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage on this device. Coming to the cameras, there is a 12MP autofocus camera with LED flash on the rear and an 8MP fixed focus camera on the front for selfies and video calls. While the Huawei smartphones equipped with dual cameras lacks any camera bump, the single sensor on the mid-range devices protrudes out of the body.

The device packs a big 4,000mAh non-removable battery that can easily give a day-long battery life. On the right edge, we can find the volume rocker and power button, whereas on the left edge is a hybrid SIM card slot. The circular fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device also supports gestures. It can be used as a shutter button in the camera app or else swiping down bring the notification panel. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 153.6 × 76.4 × 8.35 mm, but there is no information about the weight of this device. The Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus is priced at 1599 Yuan in China.

While this device will not be launched with the same name in the international markets, soon we might see this device with a new name outside of China. Last year's Huawei Enjoy 6S came with the similar specifications as seen on the Enjoy 7 Plus. It came with smaller 5-inch HD display and sports the same processor, RAM, and storage as on its predecessor. On the camera front, the Enjoy 6S sports a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. The Enjoy 6S is backed by a 3,020mAh which is smaller than the whopping 4,000mAh battery on the Enjoy 7 Plus. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Huawei smartphones.
