Upcoming Vivo X6 Flagship Receives 3C Certification In China

We haven't heard from Vivo in quite some time, and then the company started teasing their upcoming flagship. The first teaser appeared quite recently, and a couple more of them followed soon after. One of the teaser images the company shared actually confirmed that the phone will launch on December 16th, and we also know that it will sport 4GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner, and that it will ship in Silver, Black, Gray, Pink and Gold color options. That being said, the phone just got certified in China, read on.

The Vivo X6 has popped up on 3C certification in China, and interestingly enough, two variants of the phone were certified, the Vivo X6A and X6L. Now, the Vivo X6 was also rumored to sport a 'Force Touch' display, so the two models might actually indicate that one smartphone will sport Force Touch, and the other one will not. Keep in mind that this is pure speculation on our part though, it's also possible that Vivo plans to release two different sizes of this smartphone, or that these are the exact same phones which will be available through different carriers in China (hence the two models).

Anyhow, according to the certification documents, both of these phones will support fast charging, which is always a good thing. So, what about the rest of Vivo X6's specifications? Well, we don't really have all that much info at the moment, but the phone is rumored to be fueled by MediaTek's new Helio X20 (MT6797) 64-bit deca-core processor, and this might actually be one of the first devices out in the market to be powered by this SoC. The display on Vivo X6 will be somewhere between 5 and 5.5-inches, or at least that's what we expect. The device will be made out of metal, and Android Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Vivo's FunTouch UI which will be available on top of Google's operating system.

That is pretty much it. The phone will launch in about a month, and we still don't have all the pieces of this puzzle. Vivo will almost certainly going to release more info about the device as the launch date closes in, and we can expect some rumors to pop up as well, so stay tuned for that.
