After debuting the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in mid-2015, Samsung has updated both models for 2016.
Samsung India is running a promotional ad contest for the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), which the company plans to officially announce on March 31. It's unclear whether or not Samsung will make these smartphones available in other countries, but considering the Galaxy J3 (2106) is already selling in the United States, there's a high chance they will be rolled out globally. We are expecting the forthcoming device to be called the Galaxy J5 (2016) following the same naming scheme that the company has adopted for the recent Galaxy A series phones. Both will soon go live for purchase through the country's leading online and offline retailers.
Coming to the smaller Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016), it sports a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED display and comes powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The phone has 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB through microSD card.
Camera features include 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and the front camera is 2MP. The smartphone weighs in at 170 grams and packs in a 3300mAh battery. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 402 ppi which will look absolutely stunning given Samsung's history in screen qualities. Just like its little brother, it has dual SIM dual standby support, 4G LTE capabilities, VoLTE, WiFi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0. It is worth mentioning that the handset has three separate slots for the two SIM cards and an external storage card.
In the camera department, you get a 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/1.9 and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera of aperture f/1.9 with LED flash. A 2600mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.
