Chinese smartphone maker, LeEco that created ripples across the world a year ago by launching top of the line and reasonably priced smartphones has launched second generation handsets now. What Apple has been expected to do for a long time has now been done. Previously, we have seen this powerful device on GFXBench and Geekbench benchmarks few days back. The fact of the matter is that smartphones, such as the iPhone 6s, couldn't physically be substantially thinner without ditching the classic 3.5mm headphone jack. Le Max 2 has a storage capacity of 64 GB. The LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There's a 3000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor just like the Le 2. Cameras on Le Max 2 are similar to Le 2 Pro i.e. 21 and 8 Megapixel primary & secondary shooter respectively.
Canvas 6 Pro CameraIt has 13 MP rear and 5 MP front-facing camera. It comes in two storage and RAM variants: while the 32GB memory version has 4GB RAM, the 64GB memory version of the phone has a whopping 6 gigs of RAM. The rear camera is also way better, at 21MP.
Rounding out the bunch is the LeEco Le 2. "The handset has a 5.7" screen with 2560x1440p resolution.
Another listing of the device suggests that the smartphone will feature a 5.7 inch QHD display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM. It has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 3100mAh battery, quick charge 3.0 support, 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM, 21MP camera with optical image stabilization and 8MP front-facing camera.
Post the launch we got to spend some time with the devices and here are our first impressions. There are quite a few USB Type-C earbuds and headphones available now. LeEco is branding the new audio connection as CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio). The earbuds also have a mic and an earphone. One pair is in-ear style while the other is over-the-ear with noise cancellation capabilities. At the launch event, LeEco also announced a multi-stream feature which will let you stream 9 live TV casts in one screen. It may not seem like much different on paper, however when compared to the Le 2, using the Le 2 Pro should prove to be a completely different experience.
The final device in the list is the high-end Le Max 2 and is the only device to come with Snapdragon processor. Pre-orders apparently begin today in China, but no local or worldwide release dates have been discussed. However, we don't have any idea about the pricing as of now, we have to wait till tomorrow till it gets launched.
