China market: Samsung, Huawei smartphones outperform iPhone 6s, says report

The overall performance of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S7 series smartphones and Huawei's P9 family products was better than Apple's iPhone 6s devices, according to a media report in China, citing an evaluation report released by China Mobile.
The Galaxy S7and Galaxy S7 Edge were the top-two best performing models in the above CNY3,000(US$451) segment in China's smartphone market, said the report, which noted that China Mobile released its evaluation at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2016.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus took the third and fourth positions, respectively, in the segment, followed by iPhone 6s Plus, the reported added.
In the CNY2,000-3,000 segment, the top-three best performing models were Huawei Mate 8, Honor V8 and Oppo R7s Plus, all of them were coming from China-based vendors.
The performance test was made based on a total of 41 sub-categories under four major aspects: communication capability, multimedia functionality, usability of operating system and user experience, said the report.
