It looks like dual camera systems are the killer feature of high-end smartphones this year and one of the companies that popularized the feature, Huawei, is clearly taking the lead in China when it comes to devices featuring dual rear cameras alongside its Honor sub-brand.
According to big data service provider Aurora, 3.2% of the overall smartphone market during the first quarter of 2017 consisted of devices with dual rear camera systems. And Huawei and its Honor sub brand dominated the dual rear camera category during that time.
In Aurora's top 15 list of smartphones with dual rear camera systems, Huawei and Honor took nine out of the ten Top 10 spots. Specifically, Huawei and Honor devices placed 1st to 6th as well as 9th and 10th with Xiaomi's 5S Plus taking the 7th spot on the list.
Specifically, the Huawei P9, Huawei Mate 9, Honor 8, Honor Play 6X, Honor V8, Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and the Honor 6 Plus took nine out of the ten spots.

But Huawei might not be able to hold these spots for long as more and more smartphones with dual rear cameras enter the market in the next few months until the end of the year. Companies like Xiaomi, Apple, LG, and more are set to release their dual rear camera-equipped flagships this year.
